I had a very full day at work, but I still carved out time tonight to properly go through the collection. Of course, I made an Excel sheet to see all the materials side by side. I needed to understand the fiber story before forming an opinion.
They’re using a lot of beautiful Japanese textiles this season, which immediately raises the quality conversation. That’s always a good sign.
Now I need to actually touch and try these pieces. With The Row, that’s where the real magic happens … in the weight, the drape, the tactile experience that you simply can’t capture on a screen.
I pre-ordered navy Dayton and Agnes (black, textured) a few weeks ago. Added Finbar in sand and lavender Sisilia after seeing them modelled by a beautiful friend. I also wish Fenaris and Devlin had a baby: I like a notched lapel on a shorter coat like that. Juliana, what do you think about the absence of button(s) on Fenaris?
I actually think the absence of the button opens up new possibilities and I don’t mind it at all. That’s part of the charm. You can always add a belt or even a brooch if you want it closed.
The one thing I’ll never compromise on with a coat at this length, though, is pockets and the Fenaris has them, which makes it a winner for me.
I love all the pieces you chose. Finbar is such an interesting shade, unexpected, but very wearable.
I’m still waiting on the Agnes 15… and for some reason I cannot stop thinking about the Cyrene dress. I keep imagining all the ways you could change the entire mood just by switching the top underneath. Knowing me, I’d probably end up wearing it with a simple cotton T-shirt to the grocery store. Sure ... people would think it's a costume.
A comprehensive and detailed examination of a brand I aspire to have in my wardrobe.
The cut of the clothes is always precise and the materials are exquisite; I was surprised to read that they used polyester in one of the trench coat’s fabrication. Thank you for educating me further and enhancing my knowledge of The Row.
Thank you so much for reading. I really appreciate it.
Yes, they are using what they call technical gabardine, which is typically a polyester/cotton blend rather than a pure natural fiber. That blend actually gives the coat certain structural advantages, things like shape retention and durability, that are harder to achieve with 100% cotton. So in some cases, the synthetic component is intentional and serves a purpose.
That said, at this price point, I personally start to question the value. When the material leans more technical, I tend to look for more accessible alternatives, because there are many well-made options out there that can deliver a similar function.
With The Row, I always feel that some pieces really need to be experienced in person, the magic is often in the fabric and the cut. Not everything will be perfect for everyone, and not everything is 100%, but there are truly exceptional pieces in the collection.
I think the key is to focus on the items that offer something you can’t easily find elsewhere … whether that’s in the material, the construction, or the overall feeling, and that justify the investment for you.
This collection does not make me excited...like Spring 2025 did. I don't need wool pants in Spring..It feels good to pass and save some money. Good job reporting Juliana.
This first drop feels quite different from the past two years : less playful, less color-forward at first glance. But more is coming too.
And honestly? There’s nothing wrong with saving our money and enjoying what we already own and love. A lot of these silhouettes might already be sitting in our wardrobes. Sometimes the value isn’t in buying … it’s in using the images as inspiration and styling what we have in a new way.
Example: I can recreate the vibe of the Cyrene dress with a scarf and pieces already in my closet.
Very thoughtfully done. I know this is nowhere near your full time job, but you researched these pieces so well. I also like how you netted out your key pieces. I love the Finbar jeans, Davina coat ( literally obsessed, but do not need yet another coat but ….if money grew on trees), Bartelle skirt, and I am intrigued by the Kalyan short.
I think it’s a beautiful collection. There were other pieces I liked too. I think the light blue pieces are beautiful and they would look very elegant with navy.
Plus the collection is not fully released. There will be other pieces coming … handbags, shoes, etc.
The Naius is gorgeous 🥰 a top pick for me. I think there were a lot of warm toned pieces I can’t wear but looking at everything again, I see there are plenty of choices that can work.
I think the shorts will be a staple piece for 2026. There were summer looks with similar shorts. I think it’s a great investment and I love how they styled.
This the kind of well-researched and thoughtful commentary that I crave. Thank you Juliana!

Thanks for reading my friend. I think this is the year of Agnes and the dressy bermuda shorts. I am in love with the look.
At first I just didn’t get the collection but it’s quickly growing on me! Great observations very good read Juliana!
Thank you for reading Karen. I appreciate.

I think these pieces are also to be appreciated in person. It’s hard through a screen.
Love reading your thoughts on this!
Thank you for reading Marian. I appreciate … did you buy anything?
Sisilia, Finbar in smoke grey, and the navy Dayton. You brought my attention to those Kalyan shorts again!
I think the shorts will be a staple piece for 2026. There were summer looks with similar shorts. I think it’s a great investment and I love how they styled.
Great picks. I loved the finbar. The color is really good.
Loved loved loved! Great read. Loved the picks and I agree with the choices.
